अरे Sumit, क्या तुमने कभी सोचा है — जब तुम अपने कान के पास हाथ लगाते हो, तो आवाज़ कैसे अंदर जाती है? [short pause] चलो, आज यही रहस्य खोलते हैं।
ये है तुम्हारा कान — एक incredible machine जो हवा की लहरों को दिमाग़ के signals में बदल देता है।
लेकिन पहले एक guess — आवाज़ हवा में कैसे travel करती है?
Actually, आवाज़ हवा में waves की तरह चलती है — जैसे पानी में पत्थर फेंकने पर लहरें उठती हैं। [pause] ये waves तुम्हारे कान के outer part में enter होती हैं।
अब देखो — जब ये waves eardrum से टकराती हैं, तो वो एक drum की तरह vibrate करता है। [long pause] और फिर तीन छोटी हड्डियाँ — malleus, incus, stapes — उस vibration को amplify करती हैं।
ये amplified vibration cochlea नामक एक fluid-filled structure में पहुँचती है। वहाँ, hair cells उस vibration को electrical signals में convert करती हैं।
और फिर ये signals auditory nerve के through brain तक पहुँचते हैं। [pause] Brain उन्हें decode करता है — और तुम 'आवाज़' सुनते हो।
तो असल में, तुम अपने कान से नहीं सुनते — तुम अपने दिमाग़ से सुनते हो! [short pause] कान तो सिर्फ एक messenger है।
अब एक real-world example — जब तुम headphones लगाते हो, तो वो speakers हवा में वही vibrations create करते हैं जो तुम्हारा eardrum pick up करता है।
तो अब बताओ — अगर cochlea में hair cells damage हो जाएँ, तो क्या होगा?
Exactly — hearing loss. इसलिए तेज़ आवाज़ से बचना important है, क्योंकि ये hair cells regenerate नहीं होते।
तो याद रखना — तुम्हारा कान एक amazing translator है जो हवा की लहरों को brain की भाषा में बदलता है। [pause] Got it, Sumit?
